An expedition vehicle of the type Unicat MAN L2000 8224 LAEC has become our all-wheel camper.
Expedition vehicles are characterized by a rugged design, good off-road capability and all-wheel drive. The expedition vehicles of major manufacturers have well-insulated cabin (building), a strong heating, ample storage space and large supply tanks.
It is our fundamental considerations follow before purchasing the vehicle, the most important technical data & Chassis construction, and some pictures of our expedition vehicle.

Preliminary
Our favorite car should both be large enough to move us to provide some comfort can, on the other hand, compact and terrain to travel to outlying regions also independently and safely.
We had identified the following features as a condition of the vehicle choice as these are hardly retrofitted.
Minimum Requirements
• Proven basic vehicle
• wheel drive with locking
• sufficiently large supply tanks
• High-quality, secure building
• lockable passage structure / cab
• Fixed bed (no rebuilding!)
• kitchenette with stove, refrigerator, sink
• Seating
• Strong heating / hot water boiler large
• separate Dusch-/Toilettenraum
• adequate storage space
These criteria are minimum vehicle size and implicit features. Other accessories are also retrofitted if required. Converted SUVs, etc. are therefore not in question. Only one truck chassis meets these criteria.
