Itinerary
From Alaska to Tierra del Fuego
The itinerary of our multi-year tour leads along the Panamericana Panamericana of Alaska - in North America and South America - Tierra del Fuego (Patagonia).
Alaska is the Pacific Ocean in the extreme northwest of the continent and our starting point on the Canadian east coast in Halifax on the Atlantic.
In between are countless attractions, world-famous cities, endless prairies, the Great Lakes, the Trans-Canada Highway (TCH), the Alaska Highway (ALCAN), the Dempster Highway and the top-of-the-World Highway! Across some 15,000 km »Getting" over five time zones, once across the continent through the Canada-wide and high to the north in Alaska!
Southward will we focus on the longest street in the world, the Panamericana
, But does not hold at all costs to the course.
The year 2008/2009, we are likely to spend on the Baja California
. In the footsteps of the Aztecs
and the Maya
It then goes through Mexico, Guatemala, Belize and Honduras.
Costa Rica or Panama, we will ship to Ecuador or Colombia in South America, as the Panamericana through the Darien Gap
is interrupted.
In Peru, we want to Nazca
to the famous geoglyphs in the footsteps of the Incas
after Machu Picchu
and Cusco
. Some other travel destinations are the Lake Titicaca
, The Altiplano
, La Paz
In Bolivia, the Atacama Desert
and the National Park Torres del Paine
in Chile, the Iguaçu Falls
, The National Park Los Glaciares
, The National Park Tierra del Fuego
and the Peninsula Valdes
in Argentina.
If all goes well, we celebrate New Year in Ushuaia
, The southernmost city in Argentina and also our most southerly point on the American continent.
We have created only a rough route we refine or modify the appropriate time. So we leave room for unexpected events and remain open to unexpected detour.
